Home Visits

We have been examining patients at home for 18 years. Visits are made on most days and hundreds of frames are carried so that no one is spoilt for choice. Anyone over the age of sixty (younger in some circumstances) *and unable to attend an optician unaccompanied, is eligible for a free home visit.


A regular eye examination is essential for all, especially for those wanting to maintain independent living in their own home.

The eye really is a ‘window to the rest of the body’. In addition to detecting conditions such as Cataracts & Glaucoma, many other potential health problems can be detected. The pressure of the eye will be measured and a thorough eye examination will be performed.

We set out to be your complete Family Opticians with everyone from the very young to your housebound relatives catered for. As we are local, you can also be assured that we will provide aftercare too. We will also contact you when your next examination is due.
